Catholic Relief Services condemns the attacks on the UN Compound in Mogadishu, Somalia yesterday, June 19, 2013. An estimated 15 are dead, including civilians, UN guards and members of Al Shabab. Somalia is currently recovering from a devastating famine that killed more than a quarter million. The work of the UN and other humanitarian agencies working in Somalia is vital to the country’s rebirth after decades of conflict. Our prayers are with the wounded and the families who lost loved ones.
