CRS World Report: Women and Children Refugees Continue to Flee Syria

Women and children make up a majority of the more than one million Syrian refugees who have fled the country. Since the violence erupted two years ago, most refugees have escaped to Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey. “We are currently facing a desperate situation in Lebanon,” said Najla Chalda, a worker at the Caritas Lebanon Migrants Center, a partner of CRS.
