Housing in Haiti

The New York Times’  Aug. 16 edition has an update on the housing situation in Haiti, which still poses a challenge to the Haitian government and aid agencies more than two years after the Jan. 2010 earthquake. The article is more of the bad news we’ve come to expect from media reporting out of Haiti.

Catholic Relief Services has been very successful in our approach to resettling families from the tent camps into more sustainable housing. We have completely resettled two of the camps and expect to complete relocating families from a third camp by the end of this month.
