Baltimore, MD, October 16, 2012 – Carolyn Woo, president and CEO of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) today unveiled CRS Rice Bowl, a major revamp of the agency’s signature Lenten anti-hunger program. “For the past 37 years during the season of Lent, Catholics in the United States participate in a popular program called Operation Rice Bowl. Today, I am announcing that we are renaming it CRS Rice Bowl”, said Woo.
