Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of northern Italy, where a 5.8-magnitude earthquake destroyed buildings and killed more than a dozen people this morning. This follows an even stronger earthquake that struck the same area earlier this month, leaving thousands of people homeless.

Catholic Relief Services will support the efforts of our Caritas network in responding to these disasters.
